Dan & Jenna's Wedding

Dan & Jenna's Waiheke Island wedding took place on a gorgeous settled day at the end of summer.
They chose to meet before the service for locations in order to maximise the use of daylight, arriving at The Mudbrick for their ceremony in the amazing afterglow of a perfect day.
I loved Jenna's careful attention to detail throughout the planning of their wedding...from her stunning vintage look to the table settings in the Potager Room at Mudbrick.

Their first reveal was at the funky house Jenna and her bridesmaid got ready at, which had a lovely stained glass front door.... a great spot for some formal portrait work.

Then it was down to the popular house boats ....

and on to Anzac Bay which gave us a magical patch of light just above a classic upturned wooden dinghy.

Next stop, the service venue, The Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant, in a double decker bus, no less!

The perfect end to a perfect day!

The girls got ready at a lovely house in Freemans Bay where I made use of the soft window light for some lovely close up portrait work of our gorgeous bride, Agnes

On to the magnificent St Matthews Church in Auckland where the boys were ready to meet the guests and prepare for the service

We went back into the church for a few set up shots in the rich sacred atmosphere before Paul and Agnes headed off to the ferry terminal in Paul's classic Monaro car, the guests all hopping on a double decker bus...fun fun fun!

Transport on arrival at Waiheke for our couple was provided by the dear old 1928 Packard...and then it was off to the beach and a lookout for some location work and on to Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant where their guests were soaking up the atmosphere (and champagne!) on a near perfect day and enjoying music by local jazz band, Chocolate Fish

Don & Fiona's Wedding

It was such a pleasure to photograph Don and Fiona's wedding celebration as I have known Fiona for a long time and have photographed many of her belly dancing shows. It was also lovely to have a church wedding, especially this gorgeous one in Devonport which has inspired me to give a vintage feeling to the entry by using various filters and overlays. The soft pastel colours of the flowers and overcast hues of the day also added to the theme.
We did locations at Mount Victoria and then headed off to Platter on King Edward Parade for reception.

Raymond & Ingrid's Wedding

Ingrid and Raymond's wedding took us to Auckland once again which was exciting as we had fresh spots for the service venue and locations.
The service was held at Mantells on the Water in the Wynard Quarter and then we went to the Events Center (also in the Wynard Quarter) in a gorgeous classic car for locations, finishing off at a colourful yellow brick wall (not road!) which I spotted in a pre wedding scout of the area, before heading back to reception.
Ingrid is a classically beautiful bride and with her long veil and slim figure rewarded us with some really "Vogue" images...think Audrey Hepburn!
